The Right Question Institute
Director of Professional Learning
Cambridge, MA
The Right Question Institute (RQI) is an internationally recognized, educational nonprofit based in Cambridge, MA. RQI's mission is to democratize access to the critically important skill of question formulation. We seek to ensure that students in all communities around the country have access to a skill that is rarely deliberately taught and yet is such a fundamental skill for learning, advocacy, and participation in one’s community.

Sarah Westbrook is RQI's Director of Professional Learning and her colleague Katy Connolly is the Senior Program Associate for the education team. Sarah and Katy design professional learning to support teachers in their use of RQI's key strategy, the Question Formulation Technique (QFT). They currently lead RQI's online course with the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a grant with the Library of Congress's Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Program, which will meld the pedagogies and strategies of both organizations.
