Linda Nathan is Executive Director of the Center for Artistry and Scholarship (CAS), which develops and supports innovative and tenacious leaders in education to build more equitable, collaborative, and creative communities. Dr. Nathan is a lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and was Founding Headmaster of the Boston Arts Academy, Boston’s first public high school for the visual and performing arts, and Co-Director of Fenway High School, one of the first pilot schools in the Boston Public Schools. Dr. Nathan consults nationally and internationally on issues of educational reform, leadership, teaching for racial justice and equity, and the critical role of arts and creativity in schools. She is the author of two books, The Hardest Questions Aren’t on the Test and When Grit Isn’t Enough.
