Windsor Locks Public Schools
Assistant Superintendent
I have been an educator for almost 30 years. I began my career as a Junior High Science Teacher in Agawam, Massachusetts and have been a High School Biology Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, Principal and now Assistant Superintendent in Windsor Locks, Connecticut since 1995. I have had the honor of serving on the NEASC Commission on Public Schools for 4 years and on the NEASC Board of Trustees for 2 years.
Windsor Locks began their journey to both a mastery based and personalized learning community in 2011. As part of a dynamic and collaborative district leadership team I have been able to establish the vision, mindset, instructional shift and critical systems to create a learning culture that is flexible and that values the student as the most important contributor to their own engagement and success. I enjoy sharing our journey (both triumphs and pitfalls) as well as our continued evolution to create the conditions for every student to have an education that is relevant, challenging and personally satisfying.
